Adidas Confirms Dropping Teyana Taylor: Is Rihanna To Blame?

In February, Teyana Taylor debut her first collaborative sneaker with adidas called the Original Harlem Good Luck Charm adidas. The successful run resulted in fans flocking to stores to buy the black and gold high-top shoes. It also prompted a second collaboration with the G.O.O.D music artist that was suppose to hit stores in November.

When Black Friday came and went without a shoe, fans were wondering when and if the second shoe would ever hit stores. Mind you, just two months before, Taylor got in a trite Twitter altercation with Rihanna over a spoof video of her singing. Words were thrown around, meme’s were made, profile images were changed– and by the end a petition was made for adidas to drop Taylor for an offensive picture of Rihanna’s face after her assault from Chris Brown in 2009 posted up.

Well those petitioners will be happy to know the Taylor has indeed been dropped from adidas and it seems to have something to do with her Rihanna beef.
MadameNoire contacted a representative from adidas to get the final word on the missed shoe launched, they responded with this:

“We have ended our relationship with Teyana Taylor and do not have any upcoming product launches with her.”

Odd, because it was only on Monday that Taylor’s rep said she was not dropped but “on hold”. When asked what the reasoning was, the representative said:

“All I can say is that adidas partners with athletes and artists who blend well with our brand values. We evaluate our relationships with partners based on the values we hold at adidas and we don’t condone violence of any kind.”

So it looks like… the Rihanna Navy has won again.

As we’ve noted before, this is not the first beef that has been caused by Rihanna’s mean-girl antics. And it won’t be the last. It’s just unfortunate that someone with such creative talent as Taylor felt the need to stoop so low in defense of her talent. Hopefully, this will be a learning process that will result in better behavior in the future.

Drake and Riri Are Back Again???

After making it rain at a strip club in Texas together over a week ago, the pop star and her former lover Drake were once again seen partying together at a Los Angeles nightclub.

The pair were pictured arriving at Bootsy Bellows at around 1am on Tuesday morning after the rapper performed in concert at the Staples Center Downtown.

The Take Care singer closed down the club so he could host a private after party, which reportedly lasted until 4.30am morning.
The 27-year-old was clearly in a celebratory mood, as he arrived at the bash already with a drink in his hand.

Meanwhile, Rihanna made sure to look her very best for the night out with her ex, showing off plenty of skin in a pair of tiny denim Daisy Dukes and a white cropped top underneath a pal pink jacket.

Rihanna wanted to add to the tribal hand tattoo she got in New Zealand, so she called up her American ink artists.

Only thing was their New York City shop was 1,500 miles away. Not a problem for the Diamonds singer - she just put them on an airplane to meet her in the Dominican Republic on Sunday, according to PageSix.

The designers said it took them 11 hours to make the traditional marks 'pretty,' no doubt offending the ancient tribes. She showed off the new work during her Puerto Rico concert on Monday.
