Balotelli revealed via Twitter that he is the father of Pia, the baby who was born on December 5 2012 from his former girlfriend Raffaella Fico.
“Finally the TRUTH : - ) ... PIA ... Sweet child of mine!!! your Dad.”
He had been waiting for a DNA test, having refused to have any contact with the child until he was entirely certain the baby was his.
The pair fought via the media and struggled through lawyers to decide on when or how to complete the DNA tests.
