The dejected midfielder feels insecure at Zenit after a heft money move to Russia.
Zenit were involved in some heavy transfers with luring away both Axel Witsel and Hulk at a combined price of around 90m. But now the Axel Witsel seems to have some issues and finding it tough settling there.
The big chance here for Manchester United is that the Belgian is thinking for a move to Premier League and has admitted that he would move to England if any big club comes in with an offer.
Whilst Napoli have shown interest, Witsel is hoping that an English side comes in for him so he can showcase his ability to a wider audience, as well as link up with international teammates and friends who currently play in the Premier League.
Witsel said, “Indeed, I hope a big club. I also see that my teammates at teams like Chelsea or Manchester United play, but I did not do badly over there. There will come a day when one of those clubs will show interest and I can leave. My preference goes out to the Premier League. Not because half the national team is playing, but because competition is the most viewed.”
